Gau-Weinheim Kirchturm

Gau-Weinheim is a small, peacefull village with 695 inhabitants at the bottom of the Wißberg-mountain. A wine-can in the local emblem is a vital proof of the longstanding vinicultural tradition in Gau-Weinheim dating back to the Middle Ages and nearly half of the boundary is covered by vineyards. Objects of interest are the so called “leaning tower” – a medieval guard-tower which formed part of the partly still preserved cemetery-wall, the catholic parsonage (built in 1604) and the baroque church St. Katharina.

Kermis takes place in Gau-Weinheim always at the second weekend in September.
